I recently visited Mannamkala, a small village nead Adimali Town. Adimali town comes enroute to Munnar from Cochin in the NH49 Highway.

I went to visit few Relatives there, and it was an amazing experience. Mannamkala is silent beautiful village, with well paved roads and spice gardens.

We have a house there, there is an arts college near by also a resort. I stayed at Mannamkala for a day and next day I went to Muniyara.

I want to show you 2 fruits that w grow here.

Mullatha is a fruit that is green in color, which has a strange taste, of sour + sweet. This fruit has strange properties to prevent cancer, that is what people say.

AATHA is a common fruit that you find in most homes here, it is sweet and soft when ripe.

I had both of these fruits while at Mannamkala.

Kuttippayar is a rare kind of peas you find here, it has square shape and we use it for cooking. It grow well here.

Above is a white orchid plant, that you can find in homes nerby.

Black pepper cultivation is very famous in Adimali. You can get very good quality black pepper from here.
