I am Gijo Vijayan, blogger, author and entrepreneur from India.

I visited Nandi hills , a small hill station about 60km from Bangalore city on 19th September 2022, Sunday. This is a beautiful hill station where you can relax in the weekends.

How to Reach Nandi Hills ?

Take a bus from Bangalore (Majestic Bustand) to Chikkaballapur, it is about 60Km. From Chikkaballapur to Nandi hills is about 23Km. You can get bus. You can also hire a taxi, if needed. If you are coming from Bangalore Airport to Chikkaballapur, it is about 37Km. You can take a taxi and come.

We reached Chikballapur by bus from Hebbal. Then we took another bus to Nandi hills. The Karnataka tourism van will take you to the top most view point. There are few Hindu temples there and the view from the top of Nandi hills is really breathtaking, fantastic I must say.

I danced on the top of the rock, sang a malayalam song. Had darshan at 3 temples on top of the mountain also one downside the valley.

On the way you can see lots of monkeys. We have biscuits to the monkeys.

If you go Nandi hills, stay there for 2 days. The journey itself is very refreshing. While driving the upward hill, you need to be careful. There are many serpentine curves upwards and only an expert driver can drive through this road.

Nandi Hills (Anglicised forms include Nandidurg and Nandydoorg) is an ancient hill station built by Ganga Dynasty in the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka state. It is 10 km from Chickballapur town and approximately 60 km from Bengaluru. The hills are near the town Nandi. In traditional belief, the hills are the origin of the Arkavathy river, Ponnaiyar River, Palar River, Papagni River and Penna River. Watching the sunrise at Nandi Hills is popular with tourists.
